One canvas. 1,000,000 pixels. Every pixel is always for sale — buy any of them for sats over the Bitcoin Lightning Network, paint them your color, leave your mark and your link. When someone buys your pixels out from under you, you get your sats back plus 30%. Never a loss.

the core mechanic

Each pixel starts at 10 sats and follows three rules, settled pixel by pixel:

1. The price doubles with every sale. A pixel sold n times costs 10 × 2ⁿ sats.
2. The displaced owner is refunded 1.3× what they paid. Holding pixels is never a loss.
3. The remaining spread splits 80 / 20: 80% into the marketing pool that promotes the canvas, 20% to the platform.

Buying pixel art just sums this per pixel — every pixel carries its own color, and overlapping someone else's art is allowed and pays each displaced pixel its own refund.

payment flow

No accounts, no sign-up, no on-chain fees. Payments are plain BOLT11 Lightning invoices issued through LNbits:

1. POST /api/million/quote  {pixels: [{x, y}, …]}                  → price in sats
2. POST /api/million/buy    {pixels: [{x, y, color}, …], label, …} → bolt11 invoice + QR
3. pay it with any Lightning wallet
4. the server confirms with LNbits (webhook + status poll) → pixels painted

Confirmation is double-checked: the LNbits webhook must present a per-invoice secret and the invoice is re-verified against LNbits before a single pixel changes hands. While an invoice is pending (5 minutes), its pixels are locked so nobody can buy them twice.

Buyout refunds: leave a lightning address when you buy and, when your pixels are overtaken, the operator pays your 1.3× refund to that address. No address, no payout — your refund stays credited in the ledger until you claim it.

The API is deliberately simple — point your agent at it and let it paint.
